While the calender may read September, it feels far from that here in the Rose City. With temperatures in the 90s, I’ve been sorely disappointed since I have finished two more felt circle skirts since my first! (Pictures on their way! I’ve been busy cleaning!) And, let’s face it, felt isn’t exactly 90 degree weather. On the brighter side, thrift stores have already pulled out their stock of Halloween goodies, and I’ve decided upon my costume.
The showgirl mouse from Disney’s Great Mouse Detective has always been an icon of my childhood, and I am eager to get making this adorable outfit. Since I went kind of all out last year as Satine, I’m opting for a simpler costume this year.
I won’t be breaking out the Halloween decor quite yet though. Today I have my fashion show for the Back to School themed vintage fashion show as hosted by AlexSandra’s Vintage Emporium, which will take place September 15 at Tony Starlight’s. And tomorrow, I go back to Idaho for my grandmother’s services. I return Monday, so any purchases made in my Etsy shop will not be shipped until Wednesday.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
