Finally, it’s the last day of summer – vacation, that is. Yesterday my dad, Patrick, and myself worked more on The Nightmare Project, finishing up all that will go up at Halloween, and built the framework for the coffin sleigh and skeleton reindeer which will go on the roof for Christmas. After a hard days work, we went out for pizza and hit the closest Goodwill where I found an awesome glass lamp shade.
I picked this up for $4.99. Rectangular glass lamp shades were very popular in bathrooms during the 1950s and 60s. Thankfully, my apartment, which I think was built in the late 1960s, is one such place, so this fit perfectly! The stars and “stardust” are gold, and have raised, textured glass over them.
As for today, my mom is coming down to visit, and we’ll do some “back-to-school” shopping, although we always shop when she comes to visit! So I’ll be spending the day with her. Hope you all had a lovely weekend!
