The days are getting shorter, the weather cooler, and the leavers are changing color. It’s my favorite time of year – autumn. Katie and I have been waiting for these colder days for some time, since we can now fully enjoy our felt circle skirts that we’ve been making…and now that it is October, I am proud to unveil my delightful Halloween play on the classic poodle skirt…
I love that I have been able to blend my love of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas so easily into my vintage wardrobe, at least for the Halloween and Christmas seasons that is.
I did another Halloween themed felt circle skirt as well…to be revealed at a later date.

[…] crinolines that serve well under my classic circle skirts that I have made (view them here, here, here, and here), and are very similar to the ones that Jumblelaya sells. I have a smaller, shorter one […]
Oh my goodness I love everything about this! Can I ask two questions; I’m planning on making a circle skirt for my Xmas trip to disneyworld, what type of fabric did you use, and what did you do for the waistband? I am concerned about using felt, because it may stretch. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!
I used the same felt I did for the rest of the skirt. And, yes, felt will stretch. I have seen girls use other fabric, or ribbon. If you don’t make it super tight, you shouldn’t have a problem.
I would like to know more about this skirt I’d like to know it does it zip or does it tie in the back and is there a way you can make it longer and how much would it be
Love this skirt and it’s twist on the traditional “poodle” skirt 🙂 x

Thanks, Janey! Much appreciated!
Did you have a pattern for zero or free hand it?
I free-handed it.
