High Fashion Queen
While I’m still not entirely over this cold of mine, it seems to keep lingering in a horrible cough, I couldn’t stay cooped up anymore! So over the weekend Patrick and I drove out to Joshua Tree for a day. Patrick has never been and was bummed on missing out when my dad and I went in March. While I had to visit the site of Gram Parsons’ infamous “cremation” again, it was wonderful to take time and enjoy the striking beauty of this stunning and unique desert scape.
Patrick also brought along our dual lens to take some pictures, which we need to take to the new photography place we are lucky enough to live near. While using the dual lens a woman came up to us asking what we were shooting with, and we ended up talking in depth about photography and film, as she herself was shooting some 35 mm black and white film! It’s nice to know that film isn’t entirely dead!

Love these photos. I lived in southern California for a few years, and I miss driving out to Arizona and spending a few days in the desert. It’s really beautiful out there.

I love it! I live in San Francisco and have plans to go to Joshua Tree in January. I’ve never spent any time in the desert, and I’m so curious to find out whether I find it beautiful and magical or desolate and unsettling. Fingers crossed for the former!

I love these photos! What a landscape. And your outfit is great, too. I need to start shooting film again! I’m paranoid all the film places will close down, which would be really sad x
You definitely look like a ’70s rock goddess! You look fantastic and certainly not sick at all. I have never been to Joshua Tree, but hopefully whenever I get my butt back out there I will make the pilgrimage!
