Even though Patrick was busy all week with his conference while we were in Palm Springs, I was able to snag him to lunch one day, and he snapped a few outfit photos for me before I went off to the Palm Springs Air Museum (which I’ll cover in my next post) and he went back to his conference.
I scored this Swirl dress at the last Dapper Day Expo, and it just screamed Palm Springs to me, so I knew it had to come in my suitcase for our visit. I also loved that it still had its iconic swirl patterned button, as sometimes those go missing.
Swirl dresses were known for their ease of wearing, as they simply wrapped the wearer’s body, and you just had one button to do and tied the rest! You can even spy Ethel in I Love Lucy wearing them. This one features a swell deep pocket, perfect for any size phone these days! Take a peek at the label here.
Stay tuned for my visit to the Palm Springs Air Museum!
I love the stripes! Great fun colors too, plus you can’t beat Palm Springs for mid-century photo backdrops. I am finding it really hard to find a good striped fabric but it seemed I am seeing striped vintage dresses everywhere and it is only fueling my desire for one of my own!
That dress is amazing! Love the colors.
Thank you, Sophia!
Fabulous colours, that’s a very snazzy dress indeed! X
Thanks!
