Western, But Make It Tiki

Last weekend a bunch of my friends and I got together to catch the last Beach Blanket Beagle, a summer tiki show, complete with fire dancer at the Charles M Schultz Theatre at Knott’s Berry Farm, and decided to get gussied up in tiki gear, but the thing is I can rarely ever go to Knott’s in anything but western attire! Plus I recently purchased this amazing jackalope crown from Fancy Fruits, which inspired me to come up with a look combining tiki and western…or hulabilly as I like to call it. I also paired it with a pin of another western cryptid, the cactus cat.

Myself standing in front of some western buildings wearing an orange peasant top and green skirt with tan fringe on the edge. Atop my head a crown made of succulents and a small jackalope.

There are only a few days of Knott’s Berry Farm’s unique, interactive summer experience Ghost Town Alive left, and this weekend I’m going with one of my dearest friends and fellow bloggers, Carla, of Tiny Angry Crafter. Summer feels like it is rapidly coming to a close, and while I’m always sad to see Ghost Town Alive end, I am super excited for Scary Farm (and the family friendly Spooky Farm) and have been lucky enough to have been invited to the Scary Farm announcement event later this month, where they will announce their new mazes for the season! So I have to get thinking about my first spooky outfit of the season before August is even out!
