Vaccinated!
I am thrilled to say that last Saturday Patrick and I both received our second dose of our COVID-19 vaccine! Which means in a little under two weeks we can begin to venture back out into the world!
We received the Moderna vaccine, which was partially funded by America’s sweetheart, Dolly Parton, so I decided to wear an outfit and take photos inspired by her album Here You Come Again. Plus a quick snap in the parking lot after we got our shot.
For over a year now we have pretty much stayed at home, with the exception of essential outings, and attending a handful of safe drive thru/in events here and there, but life as we knew it (and the blog) pretty much came to a stand still. Now, just because we’re vaccinated, don’t expect to see me jumping on a plane any time soon. I’m still extremely weary and cautious. Honestly, I don’t know how long it will be until I’m comfortable dining inside, seeing a movie at an indoor cinema, and a whole host of other things. But, we have a lengthy list of outdoor places to visit and even a few events planned, all of which I’m eager to share with you!

Congratulations! I’m fully vaccinated too!
Congratulations!! Received my 2nd shot last week and am anxious to get some day trips in but like you I am not keen to dine inside so picnics are on the list.
Yay! Got my 2nd last week too. And a big thanks to Dolly for donating so generously and publicly to support the vaccine development! Looking forward to taking my wife for an outdoor dinner in two weeks (we’ve been really cautious the past year!). Looking forward to more adventures after that, and yes, someday far from now, a Disneyland trip!
Yay! I got my second shot on Sunday. These past months I have had to get tested twice a week to be able to visit and help my Father-In-Law in his facility. I lost count when I went over 50 times. I got the message today that I no longer have to be tested!! Good times are ahead people!
That’s absolutely awesome!!! Vaccines are slowly being rolled out here in Canada. Falling under the age of 40, (despite having a severely comprised immune system) I’m in the last age bracket of those who are eligible, so haven’t been able to get my first shot yet. Hopefully, that will happen sometime between June and September, just depending on the speed that the provincial vaccine process continues to unfold at. Fingers crossed!

Good for you! I disturbs me that so many people in your age bracket don’t see the need to vaccinate. Shame on them and hurray for you and Patrick!
