Batuu Bound
Yes, you’re getting another post about Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, aka Batuu. Here on Batuu, it is a very earthy color palette, and the citizens of the area don lots of layers with vests, wraps, and more. After seeing their ensembles, I became very inspired to look in my wardrobe for something of a similar aesthetic. What resulted was very in line with my adventurer chic looks.
The unique thing about the Cast Member costumes for SW:GE is that the designers made them more like a versatile wearable wardrobe. Unlike other lands where everyone wears the same thing (or similar, as often men and women have different costumes), here the Cast Members have options. There are loads of different pieces and Cast Members have been encouraged to create their own look using the variety of items. Almost everyone you see will have a different, yet cohesive look. I can honestly say I am super inspired by the costumes and look forward to creating more looks based on their and other costumes of the Star Wars universe.
I mentioned in my last post that there was one shop I could spend forever in, and that is Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities. Here are many of the higher end items, including replicas of jewelry, character specific lightsabers, and more. But the walls themselves are what is so amazing about this shop. There are artifacts from various Star Wars stories, and some easter eggs as well, including the Ark of the Covenant from Raiders of the Lost Ark!
I love the amount of detail here. The Imagineers really out did themselves, and it honestly feels like the shops and buildings have been there forever, when in reality they are brand new. There is a massive amount of detail, and lots to see.
As mentioned previously, from now through June 23, the land is reservations only, which filled up within two hours of them becoming available.
Beginning on June 24, Disneyland will implement a new reservation system, and Guests will make reservations one of two ways. The first is using the Disneyland app, where once within the park, Guests create a “boarding group” and will receive a push notification when then can enter the land. The second is for those without the Disneyland app, where Guests can visit specific locations within the park to acquire a reservation. Within the foreseeable future it is vital to pay attention to the Disneyland website for all information. I’ll be creating a Disneyland guide later this year and will hopefully include this new system, as my current guide is now horrifically out of date, but I was waiting for Galaxy’s Edge to open up before doing a new one!
Meanwhile those in Florida will have to wait until August 29 visit the alluring planet of Batuu.

I love this so much! So intergalatic adventure chic
Thank you!
You look great and Batuu looks great! Another excellent adventure ready ensemble! I am so enamored with the details and especially the attention to weathering in the new land, I think I’ll about collapse if/when I get to actually visit.
Thank you!
I love your fantasy adventure outfit! You fit right in to the scene. And those pants are amazing.
I love the attention to detail they did for the buildings- I was looking at the rust stains in the third picture- they look so authentic!
Thank you!
Yes! It is crazy the details that Disney’s team of Imagineers is capable of!
gosh! I love this, but how did you get photos with absolutely no one else in it! haha!
This visit was when they still did the reservation system, and we had the 8 am to noon reservation (so no overlap, which meant the land was not at capacity), and a lot of people had bolted for things like the Cantina, Savi’s Workshop to build lightsabers, and the ride, leaving areas really empty!
