Once Upon a Groovy Wintertime

December 14th marked our 14th wedding anniversary and we spent the day at Disneyland. After years of wanting to Disneybound as Joe and Jenny from the animated segment “Once Upon a Wintertime” from Melody Time, we finally did it! In the past I’ve worn other outfits inspired by the short, such as pins, for our anniversary, but this year I was finally able to piece together a bound after scoring some amazing lime sherbet cords!

Sadly no one knew who we were bounding as, or if they did, they didn’t vocalize it. We did have people think we were bounding as Star Lord’s parents from the beginning of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Which I’ll take considering I love Kurt Russell and the Guardians films. I guess our bounds were pretty niche and we opted for clothing more in our normal wheelhouse. If you’re unfamiliar with the cartoon, you can watch it (albeit in French) on YouTube, but if you have Disney+ you can watch it as part of Melody Time.

I bought these Hammies bells in this light green as well as dark green as part of their Black Friday sale, and I’m kind of bummed I didn’t buy more! I love how comfy they are (although I did opt for a size up due to my thighs so they are extra comfy) and they have deep pockets! Plus every time I go out I get multiple compliments on them! I love the range of colors they have and I am most certainly going to buy more.

Christmas is next week! And I’m honestly thankful. I have struggled to get into the spirit of the season. Patrick and I totally spaced on designing a new Christmas card this year, and had to cobble together cards from store bought boxes and spare cards from years past. But I managed to get them all out in a timely fashion. It’s funny, last year I had a hard time getting into the Halloween spirit, and loved Christmas, this year it has been quite the opposite. I really wasn’t ready to say goodbye to Halloween! How are you all feeling as we head into the last week and a half of 2024?
