Spring into some Vintage

Last Thursday was AlexSandra’s latest vintage fashion show and my birthday!   My mom and AlexSandra conspired and childhood photos of me were included in the photo slide show! With hair big and fabulous, myself and several other lovely ladies modeled vintage frocks, hats, purses and even jewelry from AlexSandra’s extensive vintage collection of items for sale.

Sadly, Patrick got put in a corner and didn’t snag as great of pictures as he usually does, hopefully that won’t happen again!  But moving on…Heather modeled some vintage maternity wear since this gal is six months pregnant! And this great dress that Pearl modeled flew out the door in the hands of my friend Brianna!  So come to the next show (which may or may not be in July), have a little dinner, see some great clothes and shop!

I wore an extremely bright yellow Jackie Kennedy inspired suit with a wonderful turquoise purse in the first round, and a wonderful light weight perfectly spring pale pink dress in the second round.

Midway through the show, AlexSandra pulled some audience members to share some of the vintage they were wearing.  Including my mom!

My mom wore a bright orange hat she had purchased new in 1968 that had a union made label in it.  Brianna also hopped up on stage to share her fabulous white eyelet vintage dress.  She also won best dressed! Winning a $25 gift certificate to Tony Starlight’s.  Pat was in the running for best dressed gent, but lost because the he refuses to wear anything but Converse…sigh…that needs to change.

All in all, it was a fun show and I met loads of new people!  Looking forward to the next show – details on when later!  Additionally, stay posted for an overview of the antique dealer school I participated in!
