It’s September! Finally! We’re entering into my favorite time of year…autumn. A time for cocoa, pumpkin flavored things, and crisp leaves…oh, and all that farm girl goodness…like my new Freddies of Pinewoods…

They feel sturdy, like good jeans should. They have a perfect indigo color, like perfect dungarees should. And they are just the right length for a good turn-up. I love dresses and crinolines and stockings as much as the next gal, but the cowgirl in me has really been coming out lately, and I can’t get enough of these. I see another pair in my future.

The blouse is one I’ve been dying to wear lately after picking it up at the Alley a few weeks back, but I knew it had to wait until September. Aren’t the little scarecrows darling?
“Made In…” Disclosure
Freddies of Pinewood jeans are made in Turkey.
Outfit
Scarf: Bohemian Vintage…I think…
Scarecrow Blouse: Antique Alley, Portland
Jeans: Freddies of Pinewood
Belt: Thrifted (by my dad!)
Penny Loafers: Thrifted
You are just perfect with everything you wear… I also love Freddie’s jeans and own one of their 40’s dungarees but their other styles don’t fit my curves… these repro jeans are often too small for my hips….
Super cute outfit! Fall is my favorite time of year too. I’m glad I’m not the only one that reserves pumpkin flavored things for this time of year. If I ate them all year it wouldn’t be so special. Love your new jeans, I was attempting to emulate this style with the ’40s jeans I made early this year, but I still may buy a pair of Freddies after all!
That’s what I think too about pumpkin flavored things!! I really applaud you for making a pair! I thought about it, but when I looked at the price of denim, combined with the fact I’ve never made pants before, I broke down and bought a pair instead.
Fall is my favorite! I wait all summer for it to roll around. I can’t wait until it starts getting cooler here in Tennessee. Love your Freddies! They are such great jeans.
xo,
Em
You look lovely in your jeans and the scarecrow print on the blouse is amazing. Love it!
I’m a little jealous you’re about to experience my favourite month, Autumn, but part of me is looking forward to enjoying some more sunshine this coming Spring. 🙂
Very Cute! I am working on making myself a pair of 1940’s jeans right now. And I love your novelty print blouse! so adorable! I need to make myself some novelty print things, as I sew most of my “vintage” wardrobe.
I really admire you for making your own pair! I keep telling myself I need to put my nose to the grind stone and make my own pants and shorts.
I fully support sewing your own garments! Vintage or otherwise! It’s like wearing a piece of artwork you created! I always want to sew more, but by the time I get done with one project, I have gotten so aggravated over the process I need a break! Maybe it just gets easier with time and practice…
Those jeans fit you great. Very cute outfit. I don’t think it would look so good on me though.
Pants were always evil to me before I went vintage 24/7. I dreaded pants shopping, and often when I found a pair I liked, I bought multiple pairs so I wouldn’t have to go through the process again too soon. I think that vintage/vintage inspired pants tend to be flattering on all body types. With the band at the waist, instead of the hips, it creates the illusion of hips for those who are slim, and for curvier gals creates a sleek line down between the hip and leg area.
Gah, you are too cute! Love the outfit! I’m definitely looking forward to wearing more vintage pants this fall. 😉
You’re too fabulous cute for words, my fellow lover of all things autumn! Those Freddies look stellar on you – love them paired with the pink scarf, it brings out your wonderful hair colour sooooo nicely.
Wishing you a gorgeous start of September,
♥ Jessica
I love my Freddies! It’s so nice being able to find an affordable pair of jeans that fits on the waist! I must admit that one of my pairs of jeans (I have 2 jeans and 1 pair of their dungarees) can be a bit of a struggle to pull over my hips…but once they’re up, it’s fine! Haha! 🙂
Ooh loving this blouse, such a cute print! Fall is my favourite too, cool days and cosy socks! 🙂
The whole outfit looks great on you! I’m also a fan of fall…the cooler weather opens up a new set of wardrobe possibilities just when I’m ready for a change. I love that your dad found the belt you’re wearing. 🙂
SUPER CUTE! Denim envy! Esp because they would not look that good on me, haha.
I’m so excited for Fall! The other day, I oggled my coat/fur closet for a creepy amount of time… I just… miss them so much.. *sob!* 😉
<3
So cute as always…love the penny loafers!
You look so sweet in your jeans and shirt! Love those cute scare crows. xx
How do you manage to not look like you’re wearing Mom Jeans? I bought a pair of vintage Blue Bells and they were just…no. Very much no. I love the look of the Freddie’s jeans but I don’t know if I could pull them off.
I think a lot of it is in the color and side fastening. When I think about Mom Jeans I think that they are of a lighter blue. The blue of Freddies is almost on the verge of black. Additionally, since the era of Mom Jeans is also the era when most jeans for both men and women had front fastenings, the side fastenings on these takes the Mom Jean factor away.
You look so cute! I love the print on the blouse!
Too cute! And the print on the blouse is really something. I love black and turquoise on that soft off-white.
freddies never lookes so good!!!
