Over the weekend my dear friend Star turned the big 3-0 and she did it in style! She themed her birthday bash to a 50s high school prom, filled with cake, balloons, DJ, and photo ops. And everyone came all gussied up, it was amazing!

Many of my friends were there, such as Christine from Smitten, Kiley from Running with a Chance of Costumes, and Samantha and Jeremy, the spectacular power couple behind Match Accessories. I also met some amazing new people, like Janet of Love Me Deux.
For the event nothing in my closet would do, so I found myself at the premier vintage shop in Orange, Elsewhere Vintage. The staff at Elsewhere was so helpful and found multiple gowns that fit. I was tempted by a robin’s egg blue floor length number, but I felt this gold and white number offered the most re-wearability factor, as I can see this working for a holiday party and New Years down the road. I snagged the necklace there as well, as none of my other pearls worked out. Of course I waited until the day of the event to realize that! But once again, Elsewhere came to the rescue. They are basically a one-stop shop for all of your vintage needs!

Great photo of you and Patrick
What a cool birthday party. Everyone looks amazing, although I admit to being biased for you and Patrick. Cheers, Ardith
Elsewhere Vintage is my FAVORITE store in Orange (and it has tough competition). It’s my go-to for all of my vintage hats and I’ve got my eye on their furs. Yum. Your outfit is stunning lady.
You are so sweet! As always, it was a treat to play dress-up with you! You looked stunning in everything… But this was obviously the right choice!
Thanks for sharing all your fun pics! I love seeing all your lovely friends (and some of ours, too!) dressed up so fancy! 😘❤️💕
What a fun theme for a party! Even better, as it gave an excuse to buy that dress!
That dress your wearing..wow! Stunner. What a fun party and it was awesome that everyone came dressed up ( I love when people participate).
LOVE the gown. It’s been said numerous times, but you look stunning!! And those unicorn heels on your friend? To die for!!
You all look lovely!
Goodness me, what an enchantingly gorgeous gown! Gold is heavenly on you, sweet Janey. This looks like a super fun party – I can’t get over the loveliness of everyone’s glam attire. Swoon!
Have a beautiful holiday season!
