Cowgirl Coven
With the move, we’ve been unable to really do anything for Halloween at the house, which is a bummer, as I adore Halloween! So I’ve been trying to squeeze in visits to Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm to enjoy their Halloween festivities as much as possible. Over the weekend we did just that with a visit to Knott’s.
During the Halloween season Knott’s Berry Farm transforms into Knott’s Scary Farm, and for years, they have had Elvira as a headliner, and during our latest visit for Scary Farm I channeled my inner Elvira, but with a western spin.
Elvira is actually someone I’ve kind of been enamored with since I was really young. I remember being at a store during her Coors Light days and seeing a cardboard stand-up of her, and just being in total awe. As I grew up and developed a love for Ed Wood, and Vampira, I learned about the court case between the two horror hostesses, in which Vampira sued her. Ultimately, the case was dismissed, but I began to kind of resent Elvira, as it was fairly obvious she was influenced by Vampira. But today I love both gothy gals, and admire them both. I kind of relate to Elvira in that she’s got a sexy goth look going (which I’ve always loved, but only break out during Halloween), but also super bubbly instead of that stereotype, monotone goth of “I hate life.” She’s hilarious, and witty, and I always have mad respect for people who can do tassel twirl.
Tonight Elvira “officially” retires from Knott’s Scary Farm, and Patrick and I plan on being there to enjoy her act one more time, as well as get scared by the over 1000 monsters Scary Farm boasts for our Halloween evening. I hope all of you have a lovely and safe Halloween!

I too have always adored Elvira because she’s more than a great set of boobs…she is really funny and can laugh at herself.
I’m loving Western Elvira! Keep practicing on the tassel twirl… Xx
Love the outfit but especially the belt. Did that come with the skirt?
Yeah, it’s attached.
That belt! So gorgeous.
