Two Wild and Crazy Guys

Last week one of my dreams finally came true! I got to see Steve Martin live! Oh, along with Martin Short! So, yes, a little fun fact about me, I love Steve Martin, but I’m actually not the biggest fan of his movies. Sure, like anyone who lived through the 90s, I adore Father of the Bride, but for me it is his stand-up work and Saturday Night Live work that made me giggle the most, and I simply adore his banjo music, because the banjo is my second favorite musical instrument, after the violin.

For the evening I threw together an outfit inspire by the album cover of The Steve Martin Brothers.

Patrick also was able to snap a few photos during the performance. I was so thankful that still photography was allowed, even though recording was not. I have always loved the photo of Steve Martin during his stint as a Cast Member at the Magic Shop in Disneyland, and it was nice seeing him reflect on that, but the highlight was him playing the banjo and performing with the Steep Canyon Rangers.
