Over the weekend my dear friend, and fellow blogger, Carla, of Tiny Angry Crafter, came to visit and on Saturday we spent the day at Knott’s Berry Farm.

I recently scored this spectacular gold mining themed necklace and earring set at a vintage sale I vended at. Gold rush themed jewelry is extremely hard to come by, so I almost fell over when I saw it, and couldn’t wait to wear it to Knott’s! It paired perfectly with my gold mining novelty print skirt too!
Carla is one of the best things to come of this blog. Years ago we met via blogging, and met in real life back when I lived in Portland and visited San Diego, where she lives, for one of Patrick’s conferences. She showed me around to her favorite vintage shops and historic sites, and we bonded over vintage, cosplay, and other geekery. She is one of my best friends and I adore spending time with her, and it was so much fun hanging out at Knott’s, along with my other friend Kaitlyn, as we enjoyed a day of Ghost Town Alive, which is sadly in its last couple of weeks! I have several more visits planned, which means at least one or two more outfits from those visits that I’ll share!
Outfit
Peasant Top: Pinup Girl Clothing
Gold Mining Print Skirt: Cheshire Vintage
Shoes: Olvera Street, Los Angeles, California
Gold Mining Necklace & Earrings Set: Pop-Up Vintage Syndicate Sale
Purse: Buffalo Exchange
Aww! So awesome that you two got to hang out again! It looks like you both had a lot of fun – while looking exceptionally fabulous to boot! 🙂
Thank you!
I had a blast hanging out with you, and I love love love your outfit and jewelry!
Saw your video on Instagram. I wonder if your question was answered ‘outfits’ because of the nature of Instagram and people being there for the quick image and look? Your ideas for blog posts and the way you build a narrative around your Knotts farm visits or even how you develop conversation on a theme like the gunne sax dresses needs a blog I think. So at it’s base, maybe Instagram followers interests are overlapping but not the same as your blog followers – like a venn diagram….? I like how you’ve been building on your gold mining fashion objects as a thing that is about your personal interests, so the fashion serves that rather than just floating there in thin internet air. I take away from your blog, the sense that you are interested in the everyday, building and working and creating of the place and dream that is California. I read it all with interest and thank you for adding to my day
