As Knott’s Berry Farm’s Boysenberry Festival ran a whole extra week this year, and offered way more unique food offerings, it should come as no surprise we made another visit to Knott’s!
It was surprisingly cool this last weekend, which was perfect for a dress I had been hoarding specifically for Boysenberry Festival, as well as my latest addition to the boysenberry wardrobe, a boysenberry pie hat from Miss Doolittle.
This whole outfit gave me serious Strawberry Shortcake vibes, which isn’t a bad thing!
Let me also take a moment to gush about Maria, the woman behind Miss Doolitte’s. She is an extremely kind woman who is very talented at crocheting. Each of her boysenberry pie hats, purses, and more are all hand-crocheted by herself. Her hats and purses are so wildly popular she can’t even keep them in stock during Boysenberry Festival, but due to her skill with a crochet hook she can make them to order, and if you stop by her booth at the beginning of the day, you’ll have yourself your very own perfect boysenberry accessory before the day is out! The only bummer is that she isn’t at Knott’s Berry Farm year round, because while Boysenberry Festival comes but once a year, the boysenberry pie is available regularly at Knott’s Berry Farm, which makes her hand-crocheted works timeless classics, perfect for visiting the park, regardless of season.
A reminder, Knott’s Berry Farm’s Boysenberry Festival runs through the end of this week, with Sunday, April 28 being the final day. Visit their website for more details, including purchasing tickets.
