Spread a Little Love

Patrick and I are in the middle of our office renovation, and opted not to ring in 2025 by hosting a New Year’s Eve bash. So after Christmas we went straight into decorating for Valentine’s Day, after a good deep clean of course!

View of our living room. Hanging on one wall is a long painting of a desert landscape, below two orange and black couches are in an L shape. Valentines hang above one couch, and are scattered on the end tables.

This year I added a few more “laundry lines” to the house to display more of my vintage valentines, I also recently received some old photos of my dad, including two that were perfect for Valentine’s Day! And no, neither of the dates in the photos are my mom! But other than that, not much was added this year. Sadly I haven’t run across a whole lot in the way of vintage Valentine’s Day decor at my local antique malls. I’ve refrained from searching on-line, as I know I could spent way too much, and I’m trying to save for a trip we are planning for in spring!

View of our built in room divider that separates the hallway from the living room, various vintage valentines hang from it along with heart shaped chocolate boxes inside.

The boys were a little more camera shy this year, and didn’t want to cooperate when they were around while we were taking photos. Oh well!

As for the holiday itself, it’s not one Patrick and I really celebrate. Sometimes we go to Disneyland for a nice lunch or dinner, but it all depends on what else is going on. Honestly, the holiday is more a reason to decorate and wear cute pink and red outfits.

As usual stay tuned for a vintage valentine round up post! You can check out previous years’ highlights here!
