Vintage Must Have: Overshoes

As it rains cats and dogs here in Oregon, all I can say is thank goodness for my vintage overshoes.

Overshoes, or galoshes or shoe covers, are a must-have for any vintage dame who lives in an area with lots of snow or rain.  So, what exactly are they? Overshoes are often made of rubber and they slip on right over your high heeled shoe!  Like so…

My pair is fairly standard and simple, but does the trick, but if you want to be a little more fancy, check out these stunning beauties available at Jojo’s Retro and Vintage on Etsy…

More pairs are available on Etsy, as well as Ebay, if you simply type in “overshoes” into the search bar.

Stay dry!
