I spent quite a bit of my time in Austin just wondering around its downtown and south side. There is so much to see and do in Austin and I know I just scratched the surface of a great city with beautiful signage, delicious food, deep history, and fun people.
Not pictured, but experienced was a fabulous burlesque show at Maggie Mae’s which also included a screening of Burlesque Assassins, a highly campy film. Check and see if there is a screening come to you soon! Because if you love burlesque, you’ll love it! Portlanders, there is a showing on March 30th in case you’re interested! I won’t be attending though because I’ll still be in Palm Springs.
I really didn’t get too many pictures of myself during the trip, mainly because I was on my own and didn’t have Patrick to be my personal photographer, and when we did get together at the end of the day, were were often busy and it got dark. Also all photos at The Jackalope were heartbreakingly bad. I’m so bummed I didn’t get a good photo on the giant jackalope, because, in case you didn’t know, I freakin’ LOVE jackalopes. But I did buy a t-shirt though. Anyhow, that wraps up the posts on Austin. I may squeeze in a post or two before heading off to Palm Springs next week.
Oh my cactus, your Southwestern outfit is off-the-charts fantastic!!! So pretty, vibrant and just the ticket for the sunshine filled climate of Texas. I love that you dressed in keeping with the spirit of the location you were headed to, I really enjoy doing that, too.
That dress is the cutest! I knew that you would love Austin, Texas is amazing! Especially for us cowboy/cowgirl/western loving gals. Thank you for adding the pictures, I really wish that you could have taken more!

That dress is amazing! Shame about the lack of pictures, jackalope and otherwise, but it sounds like it was a great trip anyway.
