It’s hard to believe summer has come to a close, and with it, the end of my favorite summertime event, Ghost Town Alive, at Knott’s Berry Farm. Every Labor Day for the last four years we’ve spent it at Knott’s Berry Farm enjoying Ghost Town Alive, the unique, award-winning, interactive experience where you get to step back in time for a day to the old west. It also gives me the most perfect opportunity to get gussied up in various western and Victorian inspired ensembles.

Some people have called Ghost Town Alive a real life, wild west version of Dungeons and Dragons, while others, like myself say it’s the closest thing to Westworld we can get. No matter how you describe it, it’s pure fun, and I’m always sad to see it end. But its popularity is so immense that I’m sure it will continue to return each summer, or at least I hope so!
What’s next on the Knott’s Berry Farm horizon? Well, in case you missed last week’s post, it’s Knott’s Scary Farm and Knott’s Spooky Farm! Knott’s Scary Farm is the separate ticketed event filled with fog, monsters, and more! And it arrives September 19, occurring on select nights. Knott’s Spooky Farm is the kid-friendly, daytime event that happens on weekends, and Halloween, beginning September 28. So of course I’ll be blogging about those sometime in the future! In the meantime it’s time to haul out the Halloween decorations!
