What’s In the Fog this Fall at Knott’s Scary Farm
It may still be summer, but Halloween is on the mind! Why? Because last night I attended the Knott’s Scary Farm announcement event, where I learned all kinds of amazing new information about the unique Halloween event that Knott’s Berry Farm offers each fall.
As the event was in the evening and inside the massive Charles M. Schulz Theatre, it seemed the perfect excuse to get a little more gussied up for my first spooky outfit of the season!
Knott’s Scary Farm is the unique, nighttime event at Knott’s Berry Farm, where when the sun goes down, and the fog rolls in over 1000 monsters come to life to frighten brave Guests through areas known as “Scare Zones” and inside nine uniquely designed mazes. Those needing a respite from the scares can also enjoy several live shows.
During the announcement eager fans of Scary Farm heard what mazes and shows were returning, as well as what was new for the line up with unique with live performances giving Guests a taste of what is in store next month!
What’s Returning?
Scare Zones
Ghost Town Streets: The Scare Zone that started it all, is where cursed half-human, half-animal creatures lurk in the fog of the old western area known as Ghost Town.
The Hollow: Located in the typically non-frightening Camp Snoopy, witches and witch hunters face off.
Carnevil: Along the Boardwalk deranged clowns and side show freaks prey on Guests.
Forsaken Lake: The hauntingly beautiful area where crypts and their residents rise from the murky waters to tempt you to join them within the dark lake.
Mazes
Paranormal Inc.: Join the crew of the ghost hunting team Paranormal Inc. as they investigate the abandoned Hayden Hill Asylum.
Pumpkin Eater: This is not your grandmother’s fairytale as you learn more about the what Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater did to those wives of his in order to keep them.
Dark Ride: Explore the abandoned carnival ride Castle of Chaos, where crazed clowns and side show freaks have taken up residence.
The Depths: Venture to an eerie port village where miners have awakened vicious creatures.
Dark Entities: Step aboard a space station where an extraterrestrial creature is hunting for new hosts.
Shadow Lands: Inspired by Japanese lore, demon samurais and more look to find victims to drag to purgatory. This will be Shadow Lands’ final year.
Special Opts: Infected: Within this interactive laser tag maze find out if you will survive the zombie apocalypse. This will be Special Opts’ final year.
Shows
The Hanging: A pop culture parody show to find the most egregious offender of the year.
Conjurers: Magicians display their talent within the Bird Cage Theatre.
Awaken the Dead: A dance party within Fiesta Village
Ride Overlay
Halloween Hootenanny: You’re invited to a backwoods Halloween celebration aboard the Timber Mountain Log Ride.
What’s New?
Charles M. Schulz Theatre Show
Puppet Up! Uncensored: Two shows in one! With puppets and talented puppeteers from the Jim Henson Company, and under the direction of Brian Henson, Guests will get to engage in an improve comedy show where they watch the puppets on the two screens on the side of the stage, as well as the chaos that is the puppeteers themselves who will be performing on stage.
Mazes
Wax Works: Within an abandoned wax museum, Dr. Augustus Scratch, a former plastic surgeon, works and displays his “masterpieces” and who knows, you could become part of his next work!
Origins: Curse of Calico: For many years there has been the legend of Sarah Marshall, AKA the Green Witch, who cursed the town of Calico. Within this maze Guests will step back in time to find out just what happened. I am extremely excited for this maze!

I love your outfit! I’m not one for Halloween events really, but I do like a classic Morticia style look – you have done that beautifully! x
