A Walk on the Dark Side
Last week my friend Solanah (some of you long time readers may remember her from my old days in Portland) came to visit to spend a couple days at Disneyland, and our friend Brittany joined us. Prior to the visit we all decided to wear flowing red ensembles to Disneybound as the Emperor’s Royal Guards from Return of the Jedi, but also took inspiration from the Elite Praetorian Guard from The Last Jedi. However, together many people thought we were bounding as the Nightsisters, from the Clone Wars show. Which, wasn’t really an insult.
One of the amazing things about Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is Savi’s Workshop, a place where Guests can build their very own custom lightsabers. Solanah and Brittany made a pair, however I, as I’m more of a prop geek, opted to purchase a replica of Darth Vader’s lightsaber. High-quality, metal replicas of various characters’ lightsabers are available inside Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities, among many other high-quality replica items. It should be noted that the lightsabers of Savi’s Workshop are high-quality, metal lightsabers that feature a removable blade, not a collapsable one, and currently cost $199.99. Additionally, reservations are highly recommended. If $200 is a little out of your price range, Tomorrowland’s Star Trader offers a build-your-own lightsaber station, with plastic lightsabers featuring collapsable blades for a significantly lower price.

I love the drama in these photos! You must have had a ball running around like this. Did people try and take your photo?
Those light sabres sound very fancy Xx
Thanks! We had some people sneak some photos of us, but we had one dad who knew what we were bounding as and his kid was planning on going as a Royal Guard for Halloween and asked to take our picture.
Gorgeous photos, excellent outfits, what more can a vintage loving Star Wars obsessed gal ask for? I can’t wait to visit this land someday!
Thanks! And I’m sure when you do visit you will have some spectacular vintage influenced Star Wars looks!
