Wintertime Sweethearts

Last weekend Patrick and I celebrated our wedding anniversary, spending the day at Disneyland riding our favorite attractions repeatedly and dining at Cafe Orleans.

Growing up, I loved the cartoon Once Upon a Wintertime that was originally from the 1948 film Melody Time, but was featured as part of A Walt Disney Christmas VHS in 1981, which I grew up watching. Because of its romantic nature, and the fact Patrick and I got married in December, I love finding elements from the cartoon that I can wear on our anniversary. Earlier this year at the Dapper Day Expo I found this Once Upon a Wintertime necklace, and based my entire outfit around it. One of these days I would love to Disneybound has Joe and Jenny for our anniversary, but finding a skirt I like in that lime green in so difficult!

Myself, standing in front of a pink Main Street building, wearing Minnie Mouse ears of pink, green, and white psychedelic stripes, with a gold mesh bow in the middle, a light brown swede coat, pale green peasant top, jeans, and gold boots. In my hand a purse featuring images from the Main Street Electrical Parade.

I used to never be one for ears, but as I’ve been wearing my hair down more, I love them as a fun accessory for wearing to the park. And these psychedelic pink, green, and gold ones have become my absolute favorite pair lately.

Like many, I can’t believe that Christmas is this weekend. As per our tradition, we will be returning to Disneyland for the day. It’s suppose to be 80! And I have no idea what to wear!
