Christmas on the Prairie

For Christmas Eve Patrick and I went to Knott’s Berry Farm, which always proves extra charming during the holiday season. Each area gets decked out for the holidays, and inside the Birdcage Theatre guests can be entertained by reimaginings of “A Christmas Carol” and “Gift of the Magi” that incorporate elements of the Ghost Town area. There are other shows as well, including an amazing ice skating show and an outdoor musical review featuring classic Christmas tunes. Another highlight is the craft fair, where people sell a variety of hand made wares, from crocheted accessories, to carved wood, to blown glass, and more. I always manage to find something, typically from Maria, aka Miss Doolittle.

I scored this blouse eons ago, and had this outfit in the back of my mind for years, but only recently found the perfect skirt, via Amazon. The look turned out exactly how I wanted it to, Christmas on the prairie schoolmarm chic. Just wait, it will be the latest aesthetic core to take over TikTok!

Patrick and I returned home for a cozy night of Christmas movies before turning in early to head to Disneyland for Christmas Day, so stay tuned for my comfy casual Christmas Day ensemble.
