Autumn is in the Air
Sorry for being MIA for some time. I was ill for about a week at which time I watched the entirety of The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. (a childhood favorite of mine) on DVD and proceeded to go through two and a half boxes of Kleenex. But I’m all better now! Onward!
The wind is blowing and the leaves are changing (albeit quite slowly) and that means that my favorite time of year is here! I adore autumn to no end! Jack O’Lanterns are beginning to grace porches, and a glorious assortment of pumpkin flavored things are in stock at the grocery stores. I’ve unpacked Halloween decor and decorated some, but no matter how much Halloween decor I have, I can’t help going and looking for more…and this year I turned up more than decor…
Ridiculous? Yes, but also amazing! I found this thing while out hunting for Halloween decor at various thrift stores, and while I adore it to no end, Patrick thinks it’s one of the most hideous pieces of vintage I own. He said it made me look like a piece of candy corn. Oh well, you can’t win ’em all!
As for autumn plans…I’m hosting a Halloween bash in a few weeks, attending another, and hope to get over to Savie Island for the corn maze. Also, Expo is at the end of the month! I’m going bright and early on Saturday with my dad. And on All Hallows Eve, Patrick and I are seeing Psycho with a live orchestra! The event is being put on by the Oregon Symphony at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall.Tickets are available online (click the above link) if you are interested.
I hope you all have a glorious fall!
