This afternoon Patrick and I are headed down to my dad’s in Eugene, where we’ll stay the night before waking up bright and early to head to California!
Thanks to the fact that we’re driving, I am able to take another suitcase! Which I needed, since we’ll be away for for a little over a week. I had to battle my crinoline again… I find the best solution is to fold it up as tight as possible, then shove it into a plastic shopping bag. Often, we take one day to drive down, taking I-5 all the way, but this time, we’re taking two days, and see some sights. Then we’ll spend some time with my grandmother and my sister and her family before heading to Anaheim to see more family, hopefully go shopping, and go to Disneyland!!!
I’m not sure if I’ll be blogging along the way. I really would like to do so, but I’m not sure if time will allow. We’ll just have to wait and see!
Oh, and if you’re concerned that I am not taking the election seriously since I’ll be away on election day, cool your heels! Oregon does Vote-By-Mail! So my ballot is already in! Go Oregon!
I’m glad you’ve got an excuse to pull out that beautiful luggage! HAve fun at Disneyland, I can’t wait to see some photos (either while you are away or once you get back) HAve a lovely trip! xox
Hooray! Crinolines are a pain to pack. I roll mine and then tie them up in something so they don’t re-poof. I hope you have lots of fun on your trip. I’m so jealous of your Disneyland visit. Wave at us when you go past Sacramento 🙂
How delightfully exciting! I love taking road trips in the cooler months, once the the tourist season is over and the temps are no longer sweltering (or, hopefully, freezing yet either).
I hope you have a safe drive, fantastic trip, make tons of great memories, and come home with lots of new vintage treasures.
I had three crinolines and a host of poofy dresses packed with me for Viva Las Vegas. The secret is space saver bags. Get the kind that work without a vacuum. You just place your items inside and then squeeze the air out as you roll them. Once you reach your destination, things come out good as new! I cannot tell you how much frustration these have saved me in all my travels. And how many more good things I get to take with me!
Lucky gal!!! I would love to go to California now, because the weather is so bad here!!!!
What I hate the most when I go for a long trip is preparing my suitcase… I never know what to put in…. it’s worst when I must go with plane!!!
I will be in L.A. next march, I’m so excited!!!!

Your suitcases are amazing. Good ones are so hard to find here in Aus.
