Earlier I posted about the trial of finding new glasses, and how I ultimately settled on a new pair of frames, rather than a vintage pair. And here they are!
Yeah, I know, they aren’t much different, but I’ve never been one for too much change. I am quite a fan of their nifty little cut-out detailing, a small homage to the details of vintage frames.
I’m spending most of today inside working on my Dixie Cousins costume, but later tonight Patrick and I are attending a vintage pajama party hosted by Julie of FabGabs Vintage. I’m pretty excited! And I’m sure you’ll get to read all about it tomorrow. Hope you’re having a lovely weekend!

I love your new glasses! The little filigree pattern on the sides is such a cool touch. My favorite pair of 50s cat-eye sunglasses has something similar.
Your new frames suit you so well, I like the fact that they are so light on your face and have such nice semi-wing detail through the sides. Red is such a great colour on you! xx Shauna
They fit you well and you chose to keep the same color than your previous ones so there is no big change! That’s quite strange that you didn’t find a vintage pair that suit your face… my face is large and it’s always not easy to find a pair that suit me….
By the way, I love this baby blue dress!
I have always want to host a vintage pajama party… perhaps this years…
Very cute. I love the metallic finish of the frame; does give it a vintage vibe.
Your new specs are lovely 🙂 and I just love your dress!
Beautiful! I love the little vintage vibe your new specs have.
Fabulous new frames! These are so, so vintage appropriate and look truly gorgeous on you. If I was in the market for new frames myself, I’d be seriously tempted to get the same ones.
Very nice! They look very delicate.
You look fabulous, Janey! And so what if it’s not totally different from your last pair – you looked great in those, so if it’s broke, don’t fix it! And those frames have a vintage flair anyway, and have great cutouts that make a perfect design. Great choice, my dear!
So pretty! You always capture the vintage style so perfectly. I always look forward to your posts!
I love how the red frames go so nicely with your lipstick! Looking forward to pictures from the pajamma party, it sounds like so much fun 😀
Love ’em!!!!! Can you tell me where you got them? I live here in Portland.
I got them at the Reynold’s on Sandy at 44th, the outlet store. So I’m not sure if they have this pair anymore, but they offer loads of fabulous frames!
I saw a photo of you on another user’s feed on Instagram and these glasses caught my eye immediately. I’m in the need for new frames and have had no luck finding a new pair that I like, I have the same issues with vintage frames not fitting my face/suiting me well. Yours are similar to what I’ve been wearing for the past 4 years (whoops! I’m overdue for something new…), but different enough that I think they would be a good pick for new frames. Would you mind sharing what brand/model they are (info on the inside of the frame arms)? I would be ever so grateful, as I’ve been searching for the past two years with no luck… but I absolutely LOVE the ones you’re wearing. (And they look amazing on you!)
Thank you so much!
Hi Katy! Thanks! For some reason the glasses don’t have a brand on them, however the following code is printed: BC6002 52 16-135 COL.607. Also, they are made in Japan. Additionally, I’m not sure if you will be able get these anymore. I purchased them at an outlet store, which said what they carried was the old stock of their other store fronts in the city – so once new frames came into the regular shops, the old stuff moved to the outlet store. But good luck!
