For the first time in years I am actually lamenting a bit the coming of autumn. My e-mail, Instagram, and Twitter have been filling up with fall fashion tips, previews of sweaters that are coming into local vintage shops, and comments by those eagerly awaiting the cooler weather.
Over the last few months I have built up the most wondrous summer wardrobe, in exchange for woolen skirts, sweaters, and heavy coats, not to mention the rain. So, I’m going to attempt to eke in as many of these sorts of outfits as possible before the weather turns.

What an amazing beautiful brooch and earring set! Gorgeous how you matched it up with your outfit!
Fabulous! It’s the perfect mix of elegant and casual and that jacket…*swoon*
I just adore your summer style and I’m sure you’ll come up with something equally fabulous for fall/winter.
I felt much the same way last year as summer and autumn traded spots and can completely relate to where you’re coming from. This year though, much as I do love the perfect weather that summer in the Okanagan delivers (and the fact that it almost guarantees you good light for taking photos in everyday), I feel a strong pull towards autumn (my fave season) and am mostly happy about the prospect of dressing for cooler weather again. I sure will be being able to take photos outside without the threat (or presence) of snow though.
This outfit it is fantastic! I’ve seen a lot of lucite floral brooches and earrings over the years, but these are the first cactus flower ones that have crossed my path. They are, to say the least, incredible. (You have, and I don’t say this lightly, the most incredible accessories collection, dear Janey!)

Autumn has long been my favorite season, and I have hopes that when it gets to crunching leaves, and foggy morning and seeing my breath, I’ll remember why I love it.
And, oh my! Thank you very, very much!! That means so much to me!
I adore those matching earring and brooch – such an awesome find.
Oh yes! I really hope to see your great collection of summer outfits. Cross my fingers it stays warm up there. Summer is my favorite season, so much nostalgia attached to it for me. And I just love vintage summer attire, so I can’t wait to see more of yours. Hope you can fit it all in! Your green clam diggers are so adorable!
I agree with Karen. Come and visit us in Australia! 😀
Oh man, me too! I really don’t want summer to end : (
I absolutely love your lucite cactus set. So wonderful!
I always love your casual outfits!!! And a black mexican jacket, it’s quite unusual…
My favorite season is spring, summer too hot, fall too rainy and the only good thing in winter is Xmas… despite I love snow, it’s not the best weather to wear vintage!
i know exactly what you mean … this summer i found a lot of great summer pieces that still wants to be worn … just yesterday i finally found a red patio/squaw skirt with golden ric rac … i see my chances running away to wear it this late summer … my skirt would look amazing with your lovely peasant blouse. 😉
love your hair in this pictures. the little curl is too cute to be true.
I am inspired by your outfit.
Summer sure has flown by.
I finally got a long a waited repo victorian swim suit complete with matching hat and skirt. Hopefully I’ll have time to don it before summer ends.
I absolutely have been *loving* the look you’ve cultivated for yourself this summer, so if prolonging fall means seeing more of it — bring on the summer days! 😉
Love the cactus brooch and earrings! So unique and adorable!
Lisa.
