A Case of the Blues…
Not really…just, I really love wearing blues in January, as you may have noticed in my last post. I feel that blue really celebrates winter in a beautiful way, and when it came time to get dressed to go out to drinks with some friends over the weekend, I settled upon this outfit…
While I adore this blue, I own few pieces in this icy shade, so I often repeat pieces throughout the month. And I love that sweater sets are versatile in doing this, which is one of the reasons I picked this up at Simply Vintage late last year. Plus the detailing in the yoke area allows for many different jewelry options, since it features gold thread, pearl beads and rhinestones.

I LOVE the look of sweater sets, they always look fantastic on other people but I am never sure on how the knitted skirt looks on me, so have never been able to buy one even though there are many on Etsy that I am coveting! This pale shade of blue is really lovely too!

Smashingly pretty colour combo! I love pale blue and gold together. So often you see silver instead of gold, which can be gorgeous, too, but I just find that gold wakes up the blue and makes one think of a perfectly clear sunny sky when the two are partnered.
