I’m still trying to decompress from the weekend. It was pretty crazy. Not only was it my birthday, but it was also Dapper Day weekend! Yes, what started as a single day event has evolved into two day event, because of the unique shopping opportunity that is the Dapper Day Expo. This means people often dress up for both Saturday and Sunday, so you’ll be getting a second outfit post soon! I normally don’t post my Saturday outfit because it is usually something fairly basic, as I know I’ll be trying on a lot of clothes at the Expo, however Saturday was my birthday! Since Dapper Day is always hectic, juggling multiple friends circles, plus people have their own Dapper Day agenda, so I didn’t plan anything. But I still had a delightful day roaming the Expo (yeah, I didn’t even go into the parks!) and ending the night at the Steakhouse 55 Lounge with friends.

In the weeks leading up to Dapper Day I try to curb my spending, knowing I could end up dropping a couple hundred dollars (last Dapper Day I did just that, but I ended up with a Nathan Turk shirt, which is a Holy Grail item for me) I actually bought fairly little this time! So I’m pretty impressed with myself. Patrick bought himself a couple of vintage shirts, including a spectacular early 50s rayon Hawaiian shirt! Like so good I want to photograph him for the blog!

I’ve had this dress for some time now, and I knew I always wanted to wear it in spring for something special, and my figured my birthday and Dapper Day weekend was as good of an excuse as any. However I honestly can’t remember where I bought it!
