It’s the holiday season and that means it’s also the gift giving season. No matter what holiday you celebrate, you’re going to be wrapping presents. Now, call me old fashioned, but I much prefer a good ol’ wrapped present as opposed to one in a gift bag. But, I get it, sometimes wrapping can be a hassle! So today I decided to share with you a bit of vintage advice on wrapping!
I bought this at an antique mall last month simply because I fell in love with the cover of this little pamphlet. Seriously, I’m a sucker for pink and white stripes and gorgeous font. But in opening it up realized it offered some excellent tips!
The back reads “For complete instructions on gift wrapping, tying, bow making and original arrangements, get the book, ‘How to Gift Wrap the Dennison Way” which I found several copies on Ebay and Etsy if you feel you need to learn more! I actually just ordered a copy myself!

I am definitely going to try my hand at making some of those bows!
Great ideas. Watch the use of ribbon if you have cats, they love to chew it.
It really messes up the digestive system. Instead, I recycle past Christmas cards as a decorative tag. Happy Holidays.
Brings back memories of my Mom making bows for all the packages. She had a knack for it. Great post!
I LOVE wrapping Christmas presents- and these are some great tips.
I thought is was funny how the idea of putting a pinecone/evergreen sprig is suggested, which is a really trendy thing to do right now. I guess there’s nothing new- everything comes back in fashion someday! 🙂
