December has arrived! And with it, the anticipation of Christmas. Today I finally wrapped up decorating and am eager to put presents under the tree, that is after I get myself Christmas shopping!
Last year a Christmas dream came true when we bought a pink aluminum Christmas tree, and I was so thrilled to put it up again this year. It’s one of four aluminum trees we put up in our wee little apartment. Though two are little one footers, which don’t take up too much room.
And, yes, that is a little astronaut angel! How perfect, right? She came with my very first aluminum tree that I bought when I was still in high school. Our two main tress are decorated purely in space themed ornaments, ones featuring planets, stars and there are even a few with atom like designs on them! The other two trees are decorated with small, contemporary glass balls of red and green for the gold tree, and turquoise for the silver one.
Your Christmas decorations are delightful, and I adore the candy-cane stripes on your dress, too! We have our tree up and lights around one window, but not much else since we’re starting from scratch this year!
I love everything! You look so cute beside the pink tree. Gosh, where do you store everything, I live in a house and I feel like I’ve collected so much vintage christmas goodies, I’m starting to feel like a pack rat 🙂
It is a battle, I won’t lie! Our apartment features an odd little storage room, about 8 feet square I would guess, where a lot of stuff is stored, such as my Etsy stock, and shipping supplies, as well as back stock for my antique space. But our apartment building also has on-site storage, that you can rent for an additional fee each month, and we did that for our holiday decor.
Oh I’m so jealous of your apartment, it looks beautiful! I have a killer Christmas vinyl collection, but it’s all with my girlfriend in our Baltimore apartment. Bing just doesn’t sound the same on an iPhone…
Your home looks so wonderful! Definitely jealous of your pink aluminum tree. I’m waiting for some pom branches to come in the mail to put mine up this year. Found some for sale on eBay for a good price.
oh, a pink tree! how fun … today i tried to safe some 30s and 50s christmas bulbs from getting sold and put them on the indian rubber tree sitting in our home. the man wasn’t that happy about my first christmas enthusiasm…. 😉
That dress is so sweet and fabulous, candy canes and sugar plums the world over must be jealous! 🙂 Seriously, I just adore it, much like your super cute, festive, totally fun decor. You are the absolute picture of vintage Christmas spirit and loveliness!
Aaah, I love your pink aluminum tree! That is JUST amazing. I love the fuscia-y cast the color has to it, and the story of your finding it at the Junk Fest…wow! I would have pulled the trigger too, life’s too short. I have a light pink one that’s about 3 feet high, and a little blue aluminum tree that’s about a foot high (neither vintage, but totally cute) that I put up pretty much as soon as I got home from Thanksgiving, haha…I can’t wait a second longer to decorate! Such cute little decos around the house too, especially those Dream Pet reindeer. Happy holidays! 😀

I hope to start decorating later on today. Such fun!
